Well, this is the week The Wakulla News moves to a different location.

Most of the actual moving will be accomplished over Thursday and Friday, and hopefully by Monday morning we will be reasonably organized.

In preparation for the move we have come across a few interesting items, including photo prints, mostly from the early 2000s, and a collection of mostly complete papers in the “morgue” dating back to around 2013 that still need to be sent to the bindery.

Nancy and I are both excited about the move to 2655 Crawfordville Highway Suite B, situated between Myra Jean’s and Winn-Dixie.

When our phones are in the process of being moved and reconnected, we should still be “reachable” through voicemail, which we can retrieve through our cellphones. Advertising Account Executive Nancy Floyd Richardson’s direct line is 850-926-7103. My direct line is 850-926-5107. For Kathy Key in circulation, call 877-401-6408.

Once we’re settled, we plan to host an open house. After all, as I understand it, this is the first time the paper has moved in over 20 years.

I will miss having a “yard” and trees out front, but it will be nice to be in a busier area.

As my dearly departed friend Bob would say, please “keep a good thought” for us as we make this transition.
