New Miss Wakulla crowned

Pictured from left, are Miss Wakulla 2022 Pageant queens: Tiny Miss Wakulla Adley Willis, Young Miss Wakulla Linda Carr, Miss Wakulla Victoria Dichio, Junior Miss Wakulla Claire Blackwell, and Little Miss Wakulla Anna High. They were crowned during the May 7 pageant at Wakulla High School’s auditorium.

On Saturday Victoria Dichio was crowned as the 2022 Miss Wakulla County, at the Wakulla High School Auditorium, earning a $1,000 scholarship to further her education.

Dichio competed in the areas of scholastic and community achievement, short essay, personal interview, personal introduction, evening gown and an on-stage question. She also won Best Interview and the Scholastic and Community Achievement award.

First Runner Up was Allie Byrd; and Riley Davis was voted as Miss Congeniality by her fellow contestants.

Claire Blackwell was crowned Junior Miss Wakulla. Junior Miss First Runner Up went to Taylor Gray.

Linda Carr was crowned Young Miss Wakulla, and Rayna Hamel was named the Young Miss First Runner Up.

Anna High was crowned Little Miss Wakulla, and Little Miss First Runner Up was given to Olivia Compton.

In the Tiny Miss category, Adley Willis was crowned, while First Runner Up went to Bay Sanders, Second Runner Up went to Lucy Showers, and Third Runner Up wen to Chloe Porter.

A special thanks to Bluewater Realty Group, Chicken Salad Chick, Weathe and Lane, The Cookie Lady, WHS Administration and staff, WHS Drama Teacher Mrs. Sanchez, and Wakulla High School Theatre Troupe 5036, and the emcee Miss Wekiva Springs 2022 Tia Unsell.

Also, a special thanks to the judges, Wakulla County Clerk of Court and Comptroller Greg James, 2022 Mrs. North America Jennifer Powell, and Mrs. Letisha Berola.

Thanks also goes to the 2021 Miss Wakulla County, Molly Jones, for a wonderful year.

Finally, thank you to all the contestants for their participation, their families, and Wakulla County for making this year’s pageant a success.
