Cellist Gregory Sauer will present an afternoon of intimate cello music at 4 p.m. Sunday, May 15, in the glorious acoustical setting of Dodd Hall on the Florida State campus.

Sauer will perform three of Johann Sebastian Bach’s iconic cello suites in a benefit concert for MusicBridges, a non-profit organization that provides opportunities for the youth of Tallahassee to succeed through the power of music and diversity. This concert will specifically benefit the Connie Sauer-Adams memorial scholarship, which supports Black and Latinx college students by providing tuition assistance for studies at summer music festivals.

Suggested donation is $20.

Sauer is professor of cello at Florida State University and principal cellist of the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra. He has performed in recital across the United States and beyond, and has recorded for MSR Classics, Harmonia Mundi, Albany, and Mark Records.
