I can understand businesses wanting some protection if they are trying hard. That can be worked out in legislation. But for businesses who make no real effort when we are under a pandemic, they are knowingly betting on profit over transmission and should be held accountable.
If there's a sign posted for the customer to wear masks and the store isn't enforcing it, that store should become part of a lawsuit if someone catches Covid. There are too many stores posting these bogus signs but allowing a Free for All.
This will have stores mean what you post, or pay up. People's lives have value!
