Sophia Macaisa, Lecanto swimming

The Chronicle’s three-time Swimmer of the Year has not only reached states each year of her prep career, but medaled every season, collecting four overall.

Last week in a meet against rival Crystal River, Macaisa won the 200 individual medley and 100 butterfly, and was on a pair of winning relays, to help the Panthers defeat the Pirates and claim the county championship.
