Thompson

Cody Thompson, Sr., Crystal River

There is a void to fill at the top of boys cross country in the county with the graduation of three-time county champ Jacob Hensley of Citrus. Crystal River’s Cody Thompson is the early front-runner to take over the crown.

The Pirate senior has had the top finish in the county in both meets so far this season, eighth at Whispering Pines in 17:55.35 to open the year and 15th last weekend at Lecanto in 17:51.56.
