Seven Rivers Christian Warriors

This week, FloridaHSFootball.com rolled out its all-state football teams, and five county players earned a selection.

Three from Seven Rivers Christian were named to the independent squad, including two who earned second team honors.

Senior Brock Summers was the second team tight end. He caught 25 passes for 386 yards and hauled in five touchdowns across eight games.

The second team punter was senior C.J. Phillips, who averaged 40.8 yards on nine kicks and had a long of 65. Interestingly, Phillips appeared on the team again as an honorable mention wide receiver. He recorded 34 receptions for 505 yards with four touchdown catches.

Quarterback Nehemiah Vann was also an honorable mention. The sophomore completed 109 of 178 passes (61.2%) for 1,585 yards, and threw 13 touchdowns against nine interceptions.

Senior Daunte Gunter, who played his only year of prep football at Crystal River this past fall, earned honorable mention as a defensive lineman in 5A. He totaled 43 tackles, including eight for a loss, along with seven sacks.

Lecanto running back Zaire Wilcox was an honorable mention in 6A. The senior ran for 730 yards and nine touchdowns in just seven games.
