The first day of the Gulf Coast 8 Conference boys tennis tournament is in the books, and several players from the county set themselves up for possible titles in today’s final day of action.
At the meet at Lecanto High School, Citrus County players will be in four of the five finals matches today.
Riley Dodd of Citrus will play for the No. 1 singles championship, while teammate Freddie Sansone will compete for the No. 2 singles crown. Sam Heinz of Lecanto is in the No. 4 singles championship match, while Panther teammate Austin Purinton will battle Jason Stukes of Crystal River for the No. 5 singles title.
The doubles semifinals and finals will also be contested today.
The girls conference meet is being held at Delta Woods Park in Spring Hill.
