This is in rebuttal to the June 20 letter from Chris Conklin. The writer states that President Trump is “not fit to hold the office of the presidency of the United States of America.” Thankfully, that is just an opinion. In my opinion, neither William Jefferson Clinton nor Barack Hussein Obama were fit to hold the office of president of the United States of America. Yet, each of them served eight years in office.

Millions of dollars have been wasted on the Mueller report. As it was being undertaken, Democrats shouted long and loud that the findings of the Mueller investigation must be accepted by Republicans. However, since the Mueller report found no conclusive evidence that collusion existed, the Democrats can’t accept the findings. Not surprising, since evidence abounds that the Hillary Clinton campaign cheated to remove Bernie Sanders from any chance of being selected as the Democrat candidate, yet nothing is being done about it.

I am not a big supporter of the Republican Party, as I consider way too many of them to be Republican in name only. However, I fully support President Trump, and always will. The good old boys in Washington do not like him, not because he is out of control, but because he is not under their control.

I just heard a Republican Congress man say on TV that the little kids being kept in filth at the border facilities are in unlocked quarters and are free to leave and go back where they came from anytime they want. He said that apparently just so he can justify their pathetic treatment by this administration. Then he said that it is too bad that most of the country is really sick of Trump (in more spirited verbiage) because he is going to be our president for another four year. No concern for the children at all. SERIOUSLY???? If this is the thought pattern of an adult congress person in the United States of America, then we, as a country, are done. Is this really how the Republicans of America think? Is this what we are as a nation now? Is this the truth of the so called Christians of the Republican party? Just understand, Trump followers, that this man will inevitably feel the same way about your kids as he does those little kids being held at the border. Keep that fact in mind as you vote for your dictator.

Tracey is suffering from a chronical condition called "confirmation bias". Confirmation bias is the tendency to search for, interpret, favor, and recall information in a way that confirms one's preexisting beliefs or hypotheses. It is a type of cognitive bias and a systematic error of inductive reasoning. People display this bias when they gather or remember information selectively, or when they interpret it in a biased way. The effect is stronger for desired outcomes, emotionally charged issues, and for deeply entrenched-beliefs. A series of psychological experiments in the 1960s suggested that people are biased toward confirming their existing beliefs. Later work re-interpreted these results as a tendency to test ideas in a one-sided way, focusing on one possibility and ignoring alternatives. In certain situations, this tendency can bias people's conclusions. Explanations for the observed biases include wishful thinking and the limited human capacity to process information. Another explanation is that people show confirmation bias because they are weighing up the costs of being wrong, rather than investigating in a neutral, scientific way. Confirmation biases contribute to overconfidence in personal beliefs and can maintain or strengthen beliefs in the face of contrary evidence. Poor decisions due to these biases have been found in political and organizational contexts.

Thank you CitrusCo Citizen. I have often believed who people make poor choices continue to make poor choices based on their initial beliefs. Instead of doing their homework and learning, they are horrified that they were so stupid for so long. Years after WWII, there were people in Germany who believed strongly in Hitler. Many years later, their stories changed that they resisted Hitler, et al, because they couldn't have people see what they really were--racist, intolerant haters--just like Trump supporters today.

Quote of President Trump, "Make Iran Great Again". Wearing two hats should be easy for someone with two faces.

The writer expresses an astute example of the ignorance personified by Trumpers. If he read the Mueller Report ( I seriously doubt he read any of it) and still believes as he has written, then he is beyond repair.

I like the way you did that so you didn't appear racist or Islamaphobic. Good cover. Using William Jefferson Clinton so you could include Hussein with Obama is sleazy clever. I'd really like to know your thinking when you say you didn't believe Clinton and Obama were fit for office. Please be specific. I'd be willing to bet that you are not holding Trump to the same standard.

The 'good old boys in Washington' actually adore him, he is so easy to make dance. McConnell, Graham, Jordan, they all love him to dea......well we could only hope. Truthfully, Trump is not the problem here. He is just a puppet put in play by Putin (a lot of P's there) and his strings are controlled by McConnell. The real problem the country has is McConnell. He can't take care of the country because he is too busy helping his wife clean up at American's expense and dancing Trump around. Americans should really be paying attention to what McConnell and the Republican Congress are doing. The President keeps saying that the media are the enemy of the people, but the enemy of the people are actually the Republican Congress. Vote out the puppet master (or at least force his to behave like an American Congressman) and cut the puppet strings and you disable the puppet.

t would be (one of) the happiest days of my life to see Dermot Frump dragged from the WH wearing an orange jump suit and handcuffs.

Far more millions of taxpayer money has been wasted just on golf. Trump is the swamp.
