This in regards to the previous letter to the editor I submitted concerning the proposed change of ordinance to two properties of approximately 118 acres adjacent to an existing salvage yard, specifically 4368 and 4374 W. Norvell Bryant Highway, from low density residential to auto/salvage yard. These properties are just west of the YMCA. According to an email I received from Joanne L. Coutu, the Planning and Development Commission will be addressing this project on Sept. 16 at 9 a.m. in the Lecanto Government Building, Room 166, 3600 W. Sovereign Path, Lecanto. The Board of County Commissioners has not yet scheduled a hearing.
Ms. Coutu wrote that my email would be included in the proposed packet for CPA/AA/PUD-21-11 Stillwell for Damron Family Trust. I would encourage as many emails as possible be sent to the BOCC showing a stand against this type of development in this area before this proposal gets past the Planning and Development Commission.
