After receiving two text messages that I had been selected to receive a $1,000 shopping card from Walmart, which I was certain was a scam, I contacted the Walmart where we shop. They confirmed it was indeed a scam and that their corporate had been notified. I asked if local authorities were made aware so that public could be warned. Their response was they are not allowed to do that, corporate had to decide how it would be handled. I believe the public should be made aware.
