Authorities arrested two men and seized a little over 4 ounces of pot, $13,000 in cash and a small amount of cocaine and oxycodone Thursday in a drug raid in Lecanto.
Citrus County Sheriff’s Office deputies, in coordination with the agency’s SWAT team, executed a search warrant at the home of Timothy Davis, 35, at 1241 N. Crause Point. Inside, they found and detained Davis and 43-year-old Angelo Brooks, of Crystal River, who was later found to be living in a shed on the property, according to both men’s arrest reports.
During their search of the residence, authorities found approximately 10 grams of cocaine, six 5 mg oxycodone tablets, 118 grams of cannabis, scales, bags and a grinder. Deputies also found a 22 caliber rifle, a 9 mm rifle, a 30-30 rifle, a 12-gauge shotgun, two Kel-Tec pistol lower receivers, two unknown uppers for a pistol, and a BB gun pistol. They found $12,814 in a safe in Davis’ bedroom, along with $856 in his wallet.
During a search of the shed in which Brooks was living, deputies found and seized a small box that contained a powder that tested positive for cocaine. Lesa than a gram of the substance was reportedly found in the box.
Davis was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, manufacture or deliver, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of more than 30 grams of cannabis with the intent to sell, manufacture or deliver. His total bond was set at $10,000.
Brooks was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance. Due to medical issues, he was released on his own recognizance.
