Susan Straley will celebrate the launch of her second book in the Trippin' Series, “The Journey Continues: Alzheimer's Trippin' with George,” 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Dec. 4, at Cattle Dog Coffee Roasters, 210B Tompkins St., Inverness. There will be complimentary coffee, a short reading from the book, and books available for purchase. A portion of the funds will be donated to Dementia Caregiver support and education.
Walkabout with a Naturalist
All are invited to take a walk with a Florida naturalist to discover what can be found in nature. The walks will take place 7 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 4 at the Inverness Trailhead, 315 N. Apopka Ave, Inverness and 7 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15 at the Ridge Manor Trailhead, 6410 Croom-Rital Road, Ridge Manor. It is advised to wear hiking-appropriate footwear and dress for the weather.
