Citrus County Sheriff's Office personnel investigate the scene of a shooting Thursday night in the Copeland Park area of Crystal River.

The Citrus County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting death that occurred Thursday night in the Copeland Park area of Crystal River, according to a sheriff’s office spokeswoman.
Shortly after 7 p.m., a Citrus County Sheriff's Office deputy responded to the area of Northeast 1st Street in Crystal River, regarding the discharge of a possible firearm.

Witnesses in the area told the deputy they heard gunshots in the area of Copeland Park and noticed an African American male in a red shirt running from the location, Brittney Carman wrote in news release. The suspect remains at large, Carman said.
As the deputy began to investigate the vicinity of the area where witnesses heard gunshots, it was discovered that a male subject was transported by a witness to an area hospital. At the hospital, the male was pronounced deceased.

Immediately, Major Crimes detectives were called out to secure the scene and investigate. The agency issued an alert to residents in the area around 8:04 p.m. advising them to be on the lookout for a black male wearing a red shirt. The alert told residents they should stay inside, locking all doors and windows and to report “any suspicious incidents that occur in this area.”
No further information was available at press time.

This is the Dumbest article I've seen yet. "be on the lookout for a Black male wearing a Red shirt" ......Really???? Give me a break. So, if there are 15 black males wearing read shirts, are you going to stop all of them. What if he goes home and puts on a blue shirt??? Real smart......

I'm simply surprised "they" posted your statement. Critical feedback or post are sometimes conveniently left in the trash.

Okay, What's surprising here? Let's get realistic. If you were a minority, how would you feel? This is unreal!

I am curious as to how you would have described the individual.

Richard, you Missed the Boat......NEXT!!!
