Party change deadline for voters approaches

Voters have until Tuesday, Feb. 18, to register to vote or change their political party to vote in the March 17 Presidential Primary election. To register online or find additional information about registration, go to the website www.votecitrus.com. Voter registration applications in English and Spanish are available on the website to print and deliver in person to the elections office or to mail to PO Box 1870 Lecanto, FL 34460. Voter registration applications may be obtained by calling 352-564-7120 or toll-free 800-655-6645, or by or visiting the Supervisor of Elections Office, 1500 Meadowcrest Blvd., Crystal River.

Participate in a golf tournament

The Women of Sugarmill Woods will host its 24th annual School-astic Golf Tournament from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, at the Sugarmill Woods Country Club, 1 Douglas St., Homosassa. Love seafood? Attend Shrimpapalooza

Shrimpapalooza will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, March 14, at the Homosassa Civic Association Grounds, 5330 S. Mason Creek Road, Homosassa. A parade will begin at 10 a.m., running from the Old Mill Tavern to the elementary school across from the festival.
