The Women of Sugarmill Woods will host their 24th annual School-astic Golf Tournament from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, at the Sugarmill Woods Country Club, 1 Douglas St., Homosassa. Future Pirates invited to orientation

Freshmen Orientation Night for those planning to attend Crystal River High School in the fall of 2020 will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 5, at Crystal River High School, 3195 Crystal River High Drive, Crystal River. Students are invited to explore elective choices before selecting their courses, while meeting guidance counselors, teachers, coaches, administrators and current high school students. Upon arrival, students with a last name starting with A-L should report to the cafeteria and students with a last name starting with M-Z should report to the gym. 

Garage sale to benefit cancer fighter

The friends of Nora Souhrada will host a garage sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 28 and Sunday, March 29, at Bay Area Air Conditioning, 8021 W. Gulf-to-Lake Highway, Crystal River. This event will benefit Nora Souhrada and her fight against cancer. There will be live entertainment, hot dogs and a bake sale. Donation drop-offs can be made to Nick-Nicholas Ford during normal business hours or to Bay Area Air Conditioning by appointment. To make an appointment, call 352-422-2733.
