A motorcyclist was injured Saturday night when he collided with a car on County Road 486 that had slowed for traffic at Citrus Hills Boulevard.

The 9:37 p.m. accident closed a portion of C.R. 486 as emergency workers tended to the victims and cleared wreckage.

A Florida Highway Patrol crash report states Nicholas Joseph Bruno Jr., 32, of Beverly Hills, was driving a 2009 Honda motorcycle westbound on C.R. 486 when the motorcycle struck the rear of a 2005 Lincoln Aviator driven by Eli Gram Burks, 28, of Beverly Hills. Burks had slowed for traffic at Citrus Hills Boulevard, the report states.

The impact sent both Bruno and a passenger, Anik Pepin Rossow, 44, of Zephyrhills, from the motorcycle, with Rossow landing on the Lincoln's roof, the report states.

Bruno was transported to Ocala Regional Hospital for treatment.

Neither motorcycle rider was wearing a helmet, the report states. The officer noted in the report that Bruno was operating the motorcycle in a careless or negligent manner when the crash occurred.
