He is assisted by two of his children, Leah, 12, and Aaron, 11, along with others. The program was organized through the MLK Jr. Alliance Inc. 

The MLK Jr Alliance Inc., in conjunction with the We Care Food Pantry, hosted a drive-in food giveaway for the first 100 cars Monday, Jan. 18, at the Martin Luther King Jr. Extravaganza 21 event at Copeland Park, 850 NE Third St., Crystal River. The We Care Food Pantry supplied packages for 100 that included taco meals, canned goods, drinks and meats. Early in the afternoon, following the food giveaway, the Citrus County Department of Health conducted COVID-19 testing at the park, free of charge, for 150 individuals.
