Six Run for the Money runners and eight Key Training Center program participants along with Key Center staff make their way over the Suwannee River on Thursday, July 22, on the Joe H. Anderson Sr. Bridge. Run for the Money runners and Key Center participants have traditionally met north of the Gilchrist County line to cross over the Suwannee as a sign of solidarity.

Runners in the annual fundraiser are in the final portion of their 180-mile trek from Tallahassee to Citrus County. The run ends Saturday with a welcome-home celebration beginning at 10 a.m. at the Key Training Center in Lecanto. The center also will host a telethon Saturday on its WYKE Key TV network, channel 16 Spectrum and Comcast. The telethon will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
