A Citrus County man was involved in a Wednesday afternoon crash in central Tennessee that injured a Texas man.

Robert Bradford, 52, of Homosassa, was uninjured following the 1:02 p.m. collision between his and another semitrailer on westbound lanes of Interstate 40, near Cookeville in Putnam County, according to a preliminary traffic report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP).

THP's report states the other semitrailer driver, 51-year-old Carlos Guerra, of Edinburg, Texas, was injured.

Prior to the crash, Guerra was driving a 2003 Peterbilt semitrailer behind Bradford's 2020 Freightliner, which was slowing and making a lane change. As a result, the Peterbilt swerved and struck the Freightliner's rear, according to THP's report, which does not list charges.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts.
