A Hernando man died after his motorcycle struck a vehicle that turned in front of him at a Beverly Hills intersection.

At around 4:11 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2020, the 49-year-old motorcyclist was riding south on County Road 491, approaching West Hampshire Boulevard, as a sedan was northbound on C.R. 491, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report.

According to the report, the sedan and its driver, a 76-year-old man, turned in front of the motorcyclist at the intersection, causing the motorcycle to strike the sedan’s passenger side and eject its rider, who came to rest in the intersection.

He later died after being transported to a hospital. The other driver was uninjured, FHP's report shows.

Due to Marsy's Law, the FHP is not releasing the names of the victims.
