Following his release from medical care late Thursday night, a nine-time convicted felon faces with a litany of charges from the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, according to a sheriff's office spokeswoman.
Johnny Travis Wilson, 39, of Crystal River, who fled the scene of a traffic stop, injuring two deputies and a motorcyclist on Tuesday during a traffic stop at State Road 44 and North Crede Avenue, near the Sunoco Gas Station at 6971 W. Gulf to Lake Highway, was charged with the following:
Attempted murder of a law enforcement officer, one count;
Aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer, one count;
Aggravated fleeing and eluding causing property damage, two counts;
Resisting an officer with violence, one count;
Aggravated fleeing and eluding causing bodily injury, one count;
Possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, one count;
Possession of cannabis with intent to sell, one count;
Possession of drug paraphernalia, one count; and,
Resisting an officer without violence.
Wilson's bond was set at $84,000. His first appearance will be today.
