A fire erupted inside a Hernando mobile home the night of Sunday, Feb. 21.
Citrus County Fire Rescue (CCFR) crews were dispatched at 7:59 p.m. to North Tumbleweed Trail, where firefighters from CCFR’s Hernando station arrived first at 8:05 p.m. to find flames showing from the doublewide’s bedroom window, according to CCFR.
After entering through an open side door, firefighters knocked the fire down by 8:18 p.m., containing it to the room.
Nobody was found inside the house during initial and follow-up searches, according to CCFR, and no injuries were reported.
Crews from CCFR stations in Citrus Springs, Pine Ridge and the Inverness Highlands also responded to assist.
