Citrus Blessings to host annual road race
“Leap” into a great fundraising run with a distance for every level at the 10th annual Citrus County Blessings 5/K/10K and 1-Mile Walk. This year’s event will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 29, at Drummond Bank, 2455 N. Citrus Hills Blvd., Hernando. Registration fees are $35 for the 10K run; $25 for the 5K run and 1-mile fun walk. Price increases after 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26. Registration fees include T-shirts, food, music and giveaways. In addition, awards will be presented in 5-year age groups as well as recognition for the top overall male and female and master’s winners in the 5K/10K runs. The Corporate Cup Challenge is back again this year, event organizers said. There will be an award for the most participants registered in all distances in two categories: community and corporate/business.
