Dump truck snags overhead utility lines leaving construction site

A Florida Highway Patrol trooper stretches out caution tape to block off the scene of an accident Thursday afternoon near Sugarmill Woods. According to the trooper, the truck’s driver, 52-year-old Timothy Eugene Greenville, of Homosassa, said he thought he had his trailer down when he was leaving the 7-Eleven building site off of U.S. 19, north of the junction with U.S. 98; he did not, and the bed struck utility lines. No major injuries were reported. Crews with the Withlacoochee River Electric Cooperative were repairing the damaged lines and splintered pole. Greenville was cited for careless driving, the trooper said.
