Citrus County Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating a homicide that occurred Saturday evening in Inverness.

An emergency call came in at 6:15 p.m. and officers found Denise Elaine Hallowell deceased in her home at 4419 S. Dodge Point off Old Floral City Road near Fort Cooper Road.

No further information was provided Sunday as the investigation is ongoing, sheriff’s spokeswoman Brittney Carman said. She called it an isolated incident.

“At the time we do not feel there’s a threat to the public,” Carman said.

As you can tell I am not a good writer.

I wonder just how frustrated reporters must get when they are given such little information to report. I do not envy their difficult task. Especially in an era where people don't understand their importance of reporters, or that their job is to sell stories and news. Especially when they are also providing an important service to a community.
