A deer clipped a passing school bus Monday morning in Floral City, causing no injuries but students were reloaded to another bus.

The driver notified district dispatch shortly at 7 a.m. Monday that he struck a deer on Gobbler Drive near Whitetail Terrace. The bus was transporting 33 Citrus High School and Inverness Middle School students at the time, district spokeswoman Lindsay Blair said.

No injuries were reported and the bus was not damaged. The bus driver said he saw the deer run past and must have struck part of the bus before running off.

Another bus transported students to their respective schools, and parents of the children were notified.
