Brett Mueller, right, owner of OMG Pretzel Bites, is interviewed at the Manatee Festival by Noah Cappe, host of the Carnival Eats television series. The episode aired Sunday night on the Cooking Channel.

OMG it’s finally here!

The episode of “Carnival Eats” that was filmed at the Manatee Festival this past January and features local food businesses OMG! Pretzel Bites and Hippie Chick Cheesecake will air on the Cooking Channel at 9 p.m. Sunday, June 23.

But you don’t have to watch it at home alone and snackless.

The Citrus County Chamber of Commerce is hosting a watch party beginning at 8:30 p.m. Sunday, June 23, at Riviera Mexican Restaurant & Cantina, 1935 SE U.S. 19 in Crystal River.

“We’re so excited,” said Brett Mueller, OMG! Pretzel Bites owner. “People have been telling me they’ve seen me on the promos for the show’s new season, but I haven’t seen it yet.”

As for the watch party, he said he got a call from the chamber people who told him to “show up and bring pretzels.”

Kelly Decaire, of Hippie Chick Cheesecake, will also be at the watch party, along with samples of her cheesecake treats.

“I’m super excited and humbled by the response I’ve been getting about my cheesecakes,” she said. “The watch party is completely unexpected and I can’t wait!”

Josh Wooten, chamber president and CEO, said, “We are excited to see such great local businesses featured,” adding, “I have a feeling the watch party might have some pretty good snacks.”
