Yard sale for charity

A yard sale will be held at Springs Masonic Lodge from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at 5030 S. Memorial Drive, Homosassa. The sale is indoors, with a lunch of hot dogs and soda with free coffee available. Proceeds donated to Citrus County charities. 

VFW yard sale benefits veterans

VFW Post 8189 Auxiliary will host a yard sale Saturday, Nov. 9, at 8856 W. Veterans Drive, Homosassa. There will be dozens of tables and the kitchen will be serving food and drinks. Proceeds benefit Veterans and family programs. There will also be a Buddy Poppy Drive.

Yard sale benefits vision needs

The Crystal River King’s Bay Lions Club will host a yard sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, in front of the Crystal River Burger King. Proceeds will go toward providing eyeglasses for those in need. 

Public invited to golf tournament

Gulf to Lake Baptist Church will host its annual Fellowship Golf Tournament on Saturday, Nov. 9, at the Oaks Golf Course of Citrus Hills. Shotgun start is at 8 a.m. Registration fee is $55 per person. For information, call Chris Hope at 352-586-4685.

Hike with a Ranger at Fort Cooper

Fort Cooper State Park invites all to an informative hike with a park ranger at 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, and Saturday, Nov. 29, at Fort Cooper State Park, 3100 S. Old Floral City Road, Inverness. Meet at the pavilion. Attendees will walk one of three trails, approximately a 1.5-mile hike, looking at the different plants, animals and insects at the park. For safety, closed-toe shoes are recommended. Suggested items to bring along are water, insect repellent, sunscreen, a hat or visor, camera and binoculars. All ages are welcome. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. State park entrance fee is $3 per vehicle. This event is subject to cancellation due to weather. Watch Disney’s ‘Aladdin’ in Lecanto

Citrus County Parks and Recreation will host a Movie in the Park featuring Disney’s “Aladdin” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9. The movie will be shown on a two-story inflatable screen at Lecanto Community Park at 3505 W. Educational Path Lecanto. The event includes free popcorn from Rural King. Bring your own chairs. Museum hosts 'Back Porch Sale' 

The Floral City Heritage Museum will host a “Back Porch Sale” from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at 8394 E. Orange Ave. Park in the Town Center Parking Lot adjacent to the Back Porch of the Heritage Museum. There will be a variety of items for sale including tables, chairs, china serving items, decorative items, First-day stamps, and vintage items. Proceeds benefit Museum exhibits. Indoor market set at Crystal River Mall

There will be an Indoor Arts and Crafts Market from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, at the Crystal River Mall, 1801 NW U.S. 19, Crystal River. The market features handcrafted items, housewares, jewelry, woodworked items, plants, baked goods and more. A portion of vendor fees is contributed to Citrus County Blessings and the Mission in Citrus.
