Citrus Stampede Rodeo

Citrus County 4-H programs will host the annual Citrus Stampede Rodeo from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22, and Saturday, Nov. 23, at the Citrus County Fairgrounds, 3600 S. Florida Ave. U.S. 41, Inverness.

Citrus County 4-H programs will host the annual Citrus Stampede Rodeo from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22, and Saturday, Nov. 23, at the Citrus County Fairgrounds, 3600 S. Florida Ave. U.S. 41, Inverness. There will be shopping and food vendors and multiple activities for kids. Proceeds of the rodeo will benefit Citrus County 4-H programs. Nominate top citizen for Citrus County 

The Citrus County Chronicle is seeking nominees for 2019 Citizen of the Year. Winners in the past have been honored for everything from philanthropy to volunteerism, civil rights work to service to country, and environmental efforts to governmental initiatives. While all nominations are considered, preference is usually given to community contributions that are above and beyond the role one plays in their day-to-day job. Parade of Trees to benefit local charities

The 18th annual Parade of Trees will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, and 5:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22, at Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church, 4705 W. Gulf to Lake Hwy, Lecanto. Admission is a new toy or non-perishable food item. Thursday will include a tree viewing, raffles, Chinese auctions, and Santa Claus, who will have presents for children in attendance from 5 to 7 p.m. On Friday, the Gala Evening will include the Parade of trees viewing, cocktail hour, festive dinner buffet, Chinese auction, raffles and door prizes, and live entertainment.
