Citrus County School District COVID-19 update

Number of quarantined students and staff in the Citrus County School District per day. 

As of Sept. 15, the Citrus County School District has reported 1,281 positive COVID-19 cases since the first day of school, Aug. 10.

In August, the district reported 846 total cases with 435 so far in September. Of the total cases, 109 have been employees and 1,172 have been students.

So far, Crystal River High School has experienced the most positive cases, with a total of 134 among staff and students.

The district has also been reporting the number of quarantined students and staff per day. The highest number of quarantines were reported Aug. 25 with a total of 1,806. The lowest was reported on Aug. 10 with a total of 219.

Most recently, a total of 12 positive cases of COVID-19 were reported on Sept. 15 with 262 students and staff in quarantine.

How do you know if some has a positive COVID test? The PCR test was created to test for the HIV virus, not COVID. CDC has said the test is faulty for COVID. Answer the question how do you know if someone has COVID? Run the test at 35 cycles and you get a positive every time, it could be anything in your system.
