This should have been included in the front page article on Habitat Citrus Springs on June 4th: All County taxpayers need to be made aware that George Rusaw has solicited county commissioners to provide $2.6 million in “public assistance” to Habitat to repay their loan made to begin this build. Does this mean they borrowed money they cannot repay and now rely on us taxpayers to fund a project they cannot afford? One other point, these homes would not be restricted to current Citrus County residents, that should be kept in mind when our county’s housing shortage is touted as a reason to support this development
