DUNNELLON — A woman who became irate at a man after catching him “researching pornography” wound up in the Marion County Jail after throwing a flat screen television and game console at him, according to a Marion County Sheriff’s Office arrest affidavit.
Deputies arrested Tammy Neviline Marshall, 51, on Wednesday, July 22, 2020, charging her with battery, a misdemeanor. She was released Thursday, July 23, on her own recognizance. She is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday, Aug. 25, according to Marion County jail log records.
Deputies were called to the home shortly before 11 a.m. July 22 in reference to a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, Deputy Houston Koch made contact with the man who advised Marshall threw a television and Xbox console at him, then struck him in the face with her hand, the report stated. The man told Koch he and the woman were fighting because she caught him researching pornography.
According to the report, the man was standing in the doorway when Marshall threw the TV at him, followed by his Xbox console, striking him in the hand. While trying to calm the defendant down, she struck him on the side of the face with her hand.
The man exited the house to separate himself and call 911.
Koch noted in his report he observed a small laceration with fresh blood on the man’s finger.
Marshall told authorities she found photos of a female on the victim’s phone and was upset, the report stated, but it was the man who started throwing objects around. She told the deputy the man followed her into the bedroom and slung the TV and Xbox console off the dresser causing them to break.
However, the man recorded the incident with his cell phone, showing the woman walking into the bedroom, then throwing the TV at the man who was standing in the door. Marshall is also seen throwing several more objects at the man.
