An Inverness woman’s early morning at a Hernando bar turned into an alleged scuffle with her waving a handgun at several other patrons.
Citrus County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded Nov. 24 to the Whiskey River Saloon off of East Louise Lane, where 37-year-old Pamela Sue Brest had been involved in a fight outside.
According to Brest’s arrest report, witnesses spotted her drop a gun on the ground, pick it up and then charge at them, waving the firearm in their direction, saying, “Who wants some?”
When deputies arrived, Brest appeared to be intoxicated and kept pulling away from a deputy trying to detain her, the arrest report shows.
Brest was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting police without violence and three counts of aggravated assault using a deadly weapon without the intent to kill. She was jailed under a $7,500 bond.
