Authorities are asking for the public’s help identifying a man suspected of robbing five businesses in Citrus, Sumter and Hernando counties.
From May 10 to June 11, the man, who is believed to be armed and dangerous, held up Family Dollar and Dollar General stores in Spring Hill and Bushnell, and the Reliance Gas Station in Inverness, according to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.
He did not show a firearm to clerks in any of the robberies, but suggested he had one before demanding money from them and leaving, according to the sheriff’s office.
Witnesses spotted the man driving away from a Sumter County robbery in a square-bodied, 1980s - 90s brown or tan Chevy S-10 Blazer or GMC Jimmy.
