Florida Highway Patrol investigators are asking the public to share any information about a hit-and-run crash involving a scooter on a highway near Crystal River.
According to FHP, the collision happened at around 9:25 p.m. July 10 on U.S. 19, south of the intersection with Northwest Sixth Avenue.

Florida Highway PatrolPrior to the crash, a blue scooter and its two occupants from Hudson were traveling north on U.S. 19 in the highway’s outside lane when the front of an unknown, northbound vehicle struck the moped’s rear, ejecting its riders, who suffered serious and minor injuries.
According to FHP, the vehicle didn’t stay at the crash scene.
Those with any information about the hit-and-run are being asked to contact FHP by calling *FHP or *347.
