DUI arrest

  • Victoria McCart, 43, of East Squaw Valley Drive, Hernando, at 2:17 a.m. Nov. 19 on a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence. According to her arrest affidavit, McCart ignored the deputy's order not to drive after a deputy saw her appearing to be highly intoxicated while sitting on the ground outside of a bar. She was asked to complete field sobriety tasks and refused. McCart also refused Breathalyzer testing to measure her blood alcohol level. Her bond was set at $1,000.

Other arrests

  • Cottee Gayheart, 25, of Homosassa, at 5:05 p.m. Nov. 19 on a felony charge of car burglary and a misdemeanor charge of petit theft. Her bond was set at $5,500.

  • Alex Wimberley, 34, of South Cove Point, Floral City, at 3:46 p.m. Nov. 19 on a misdemeanor charge of petit theft. According to his arrest affidavit, Wimberley is accused of shoplifting a bottle of vodka from Citrus Liquor. His bond was set at $500.

  • Travis Mason, 36, of Friendly Road, Brooksville, at 3 p.m. Nov. 19 on an active warrant for felony violation of probation stemming from an original charge of possession of methamphetamine. He was transported from the Hernando County Jail to the Citrus County Detention Facility.

  • Christopher DeJesus, 30, of West Badger Lane, Dunnellon, at 6:59 a.m. Nov. 19 on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance and a misdemeanor charge of drug paraphernalia. He was also charged with felony violation of probation stemming from an original charge of arson. According to his arrest affidavit, DeJesus was questioned for suspicious behavior in Pine Ridge and approximately 3.7 grams of methamphetamine and a meth pipe were found in his possession. His bond was set at $3,000 for the drug charges, but denied for the probation violation.

  • Wilbert Bright Jr., 45, of Northwest 21st Street, Ocala, at 1:40 p.m. Nov. 19 on an active warrant for felony violation of probation stemming from an original charge of aggravated battery. He was transported from the Marion County Jail to the Citrus County Detention Facility.

  • Brittany Johnson, 20, of West Minuteman Street, Homosassa, at 1:33 p.m. Nov. 19 on a misdemeanor charge of battery. According to her arrest affidavit, Johnson is accused of knocking the victim off a bicycle and punching him multiple times with a closed fist. Her bond was set at $500.

  • Nealon Dumas, 77, of West Kimberly Court, Homosassa, at 11:25 a.m. Nov. 19 on an active warrant for felony violation of probation stemming from an original charge of willful child abuse.

  • Christopher Franke, 28, of Homosassa, at 5 a.m. Nov. 19 on a felony charge of false imprisonment and a misdemeanor charge of battery. His bond was set at $5,500.

  • Eric Green, 35, of Inverness, at 6:59 a.m. Nov. 19 on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance and a misdemeanor charge of drug paraphernalia. According to his arrest affidavit, Green was a passenger in a vehicle pulled over for a stop sign infraction and approximately 0.8 grams of methamphetamine, 0.6 grams of heroin, and a syringe were found in his possession. His bond was set at $5,000.
