DUI arrest

  • Nuland Cox, 59, of Vine Street, Hays, Kansas, at 12:26 a.m. Nov. 23 on a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence. According to his arrest affidavit, Cox was pulled over after his motorcycle fell over at a stop sign and he was unable to right it. He was asked to complete field sobriety tasks and refused. Cox also refused Breathalyzer testing to measure his blood alcohol level. His bond was set at $1,000.

    Domestic battery arrests
  • Kimberly Fairley, 43, of Dunnellon, at 11:48 a.m. Nov. 23 on a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery.  

  • Justice Gurrola, 20, of The Villages, at 6:32 p.m. Nov. 22 on felony charges of domestic battery by strangulation, false imprisonment, and hindering communication to law enforcement.

  • Jeremy Johnson, 36, of Homosassa, at 6:45 a.m. Nov. 22 on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance and a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery. 

Other arrests

  • Ja’Quwez Norwood, 18, of Ocala, at 8:36 a.m. Nov. 22 on a felony charge of battery on a law enforcement officer. His bond was set at $5,000.

  • Alex Gonzalez Cotto, 49, of Spring Hill, at 3:43 p.m. Nov. 22 on felony charges of possession of a controlled substance and petit theft with two or more convictions and a misdemeanor charge of driving with a suspended license. His bond was set at $4,500.

  • Catherine Vasquez, 42, of Spring Hill, at 3:43 p.m. Nov. 22 on misdemeanor charges of retail petit theft and drug paraphernalia. Her bond was set at $2,000.

  • Donald Mounts, 60, of Dunnellon, at 6:12 p.m. Nov. 22 on felony charges of possession with intent to sell a controlled substance and retail petit theft and a misdemeanor charge of drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $5,000.

  • April Hyden, 41, of South Bayliner Point, Homosassa, at 6:59 p.m. Nov. 22 on a misdemeanor charge of petit theft. According to her arrest affidavit, Hyden is accused of shoplifting merchandise valued at $43.30 from the Homosassa Walmart. Her bond was set at $1,000.

  • John McManus, 60, of Hernando, at 7:22 p.m. Nov. 22 on a misdemeanor charge of disorderly intoxication. His bond was set at $500.

  • Kenneth Adkins, 35, of South Sioux Road, Homosassa, at 9:08 p.m. Nov. 22 on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance. He was also charged with felony violation of probation stemming from an original charge of burglary. His bond was set at $2,000 for the drug charge but denied for the probation violation.

  • Genevieve Bond, 38, of Crystal River, at 9:34 p.m. Nov. 22 on a misdemeanor charge of retail petit theft. Her bond was set at $500.

  • Nakia Cleveland, 29, of North Pioneer Terrace, Hernando, at 11:27 p.m. Nov. 22 on an active Marion County warrant for felony car burglary with an occupant and misdemeanor petit theft. She turned herself in to the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office. Her bond was set at $15,500.

  • Anthony Rizzo, 48, of Bloomfield Drive, Inverness, at 2:45 p.m. Nov. 23 on an active warrant for felony violation of probation stemming from an original charge of possession of heroin.

  • Joshua Beliveau, 36, of South Winding Path, Inverness, at 3 p.m. Nov. 23 on an active warrant for felony violation of probation stemming from an original charge of possession of a controlled substance. He was already incarcerated at the Citrus County Detention Facility on unrelated charges.

  • Marjorie Morris, 32, of Homosassa, at 4:02 p.m. Nov. 23 on an active warrant for felony violation of probation.

  • Mark Benedetto, 35, of Northwest Magnolia Avenue, Ocala, at 5:50 p.m. Nov. 23 on misdemeanor charges of trespassing and resisting an officer without violence. According to his arrest affidavit Benedetto is accused of trespassing at a Hernando residence and attempting to pull away from deputies during his arrest. His bond was set at $2,000.

  • Vonda Leighty, 25, of Hernando, at 11:37 p.m. Nov. 23 on misdemeanor charges of trespassing and resisting an officer without violence. Her bond was set at $2,000.
