Pace Center for Girls community coordinator Tiarra Alexander, also a member of The New Church Without Walls, unpacks frozen pork roasts from boxes Friday morning as cars line the parking lot at the Citrus County Fairgrounds in Inverness. Those receiving food had a choice of meat to take with them, either pork or chicken.
Blueberries


Thousands of boxes of ripe blueberries were handed out to those passing through the line Friday as thousands of residents were given food.
Volunteers work the car line


Scores of volunteers pass food to those needing assistance Friday at the Citrus County Fairgrounds. Canned goods, water, fresh fruits and vegetables and dry goods were give to scores of residents who waited in line.
Stacking blueberries


Long-time community volunteer Barbara Mills, known for her years-long work with Operation Welcome home and other veteran-related charity work, stacks blueberries Friday. The ripe berries were donated by Ferris Groves, according to Pastor Doug Alexander.
