As the cases of COVID-19 once again increase in the state and country, the county is taking extra precautions at Citrus County Animal Service (CCAS) to ensure the safety of its staff, visitors and animal guests.
At this time, the county has made the decision to temporarily suspend its Community Cat Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate Return (TNVR) program. Effective immediately, Animal Services is unable to take in community cats at the shelter.
It is recommend that healthy cats found outside are left alone until Animal Services are able to start providing services again.
