Different businesses have experienced different struggles while having to practice social distancing. However, no matter the difference in severity of how they’ve been affected, they all have felt the weight of the stay-at-home order.
Leesa Glazier of Headlines Hair Studio recently shared the struggles and hopes that come with enduring social distancing while trying to keep business afloat.
Headlines Hair Studio is located in Homosassa and has been in business for 22 years.
Under the knowledge that changes would have to be made to maintain business, Glazier instituted new practices, including “wearing face masks and sanitizing,” she shared.
She asks each client to wear a face mask for the duration of their visit, as she does as well. Putting customer safety first, Glazier currently only allows one client in the studio at a time and allots enough time between each appointment to fully sanitize her workstation.
Although tedious, she considers this practice necessary in regards to knowing how her business can affect public health.
Among her biggest challenges, the stylist has described adjusting to wearing a face mask as one and “trying to maintain busy” as another.
Glazier hopes that within the next two years, her business will grow stronger and stay busy. It is clear that she is willing to put forth the effort in order to continue leading a successful studio.
Dependability and quality is what keeps customers returning to a business like this. With an average rating of 5 out of 5 stars based on customer reviews, Glazier knows what her services mean to people and remained hopeful during the stay-at-home order that she could return to her clients.
Now that she is back in business, she moves forward cautiously, but eagerly.
“Come on in and feel comfortable,” said Glazier on the Headlines Facebook page. “Great atmosphere, great prices and I'll listen to what you want.”
