COVID-19 affected many businesses in different ways. Coldwell Banker Next Generation Realty did not have to shut down, but they did have to make changes to their office procedures.
They are practicing social distancing to minimize the health risk to their customers, agents and staff. Plus, all of their office meetings have been moved to virtual meetings indefinitely.
“We have also set up procedures to limit the amount of people in our offices at any given time, and have implemented an appointment only scenario,” Johnston said.
With not having to close, Coldwell Banker still faced challenges when the stay-at-home order was lifted. “The biggest challenge we face is to not let our guard down,” Johnston said.
Coldwell Banker is encouraging clients to use video visits to see the properties. Since they want to consider the well-being of the current homeowner when showing their home to potential buyers.
Staying at home is the safest way to avoid coming in contact with people. With that, “people need to have a place to live and it is our job as Realtors to help our clients succeed in that endeavor,” Johnston said.
Coldwell Banker is looking to seek out new opportunities and expand, plus they want to implement their virtual methods to support their company and benefit their clients.
“We will continue our commitment of volunteerism in our community,” Johnston said.
