Recently, VFW and Auxiliary 8189 of Homosassa and VFW Auxiliary 10087 of Beverly Hills visited the Mission in Citrus to deliver needed supplies.
The Mission in Citrus is a nonprofit organization that helps homeless veterans and their families. The Mission has been helping the homeless since 2008.

The Post and Auxiliaries gathered supplies throughout the month of December until they had a truckload of items to deliver to the Mission in Citrus. Cases of canned food, toys and household items were delivered to the Mission. Additionally, Commander Jim Fuller of Post 8189 presented a check for $500 to TMIC Director Kat Romanowski.
