Good Citizenship Awards

Members of VFW Post 4337 Auxiliary, Lorinda Acosta, President Jeanette Miles, Gloria Lane, and Post Commander Joe Acosta, presented Good Citizenship Awards to students of Inverness Primary School (IPS). The students were presented a personalized plaque and an American flag. The students were nominated by their respective teachers for exemplary conduct and outstanding citizenship. The recipients were Troy Walling, pre-K; Austin Buchanan, kindergarten; Emmy McColough, first grade; Madylinn Michaud, second grade; Olivia Durel, third grade; Bradley “Luke” Bennett, fourth grade; and Eliana Autry, fifth grade. The presentations were made during the annual staged presentation during Veterans Appreciation Week. It consisted of various choruses, revues and recitals guided by the school educators, but staged entirely by the children. The emcee of the event was Mrs. Tyler.
