Homosassa Springs — Snippet Citrus, Inc. has been awarded a $4,500 grant from the Petco Foundation to support its lifesaving efforts in Homosassa Springs. The Petco Foundation investment will help to spay/neuter cats and kittens.

“We’re grateful to receive this grant from the Petco Foundation to help us save more animal lives,” said Mary Lee Johnson, president of Snippet Citrus, Inc. “This grant support has helped make it possible to spay/neuter 197 cats in April and May this year.”

Snippet Citrus, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and 100% volunteer organization with a mission of providing Citrus County residents that qualify for low cost spay/neuter financial assistance. The group will raise funds to provide low cost spay/neuter services for those who need financial assistance and to educate the public on the importance of spaying and neutering all pets.
