Proceeds from the 17th annual Chili Cook Off hosted by Lecanto Levi’s 4-H Club on June 8 and 9 at Nature’s Resort in Homosassa were recently distributed to several nonprofits in Citrus County. The event was rescheduled from October 2018 due to Hurricane Michael.

Lecanto Levi’s 4-H Club also uses part of the event proceeds to sponsor needy families during the holidays and throughout the year when needed.

Even with re-scheduling due to Hurricane Michael, the club raised $10,960 — that all stayed in Citrus County.

This year’s Chili Cook Off is scheduled for Oct. 12 and 13. For information, call 352-697-3364.
