The West Citrus Ladies of the Elks will host its annual Arts and Crafts Show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, at the Elks Lodge, located at 7890 W. Grover Cleveland Boulevard in Homosassa.
This annual event draws numerous artists and crafters along with a crowd of visitors from all over the county.
“The show is now held entirely inside. We had to makes some adjustments because of rain a couple years ago,” said Kathy Manning, one of several event organizers.
The ladies plan to be completely full with only a few vendor slots left. Visitors to the event can expect to see a variety of handmade items including clay babies, all-occasion greeting cards, hand-painted holiday ornaments and hand-crafted napkins, placemats and other items.
“We will have a few very talented jewelry vendors. One person makes beautiful jewelry from old watches. And we even have a couple of new vendors coming this year along with some of our regulars,” said Manning.
Many of the vendors will offer great gift ideas for birthdays and holidays. There are also returning vendors who have requested the same location as last year so customers know where to find them.
Food and refreshments will be available. The Ladies of the Elks will be offering doughnuts and a light lunch. They will have chips and drinks available, along with selling tickets for a variety of hand-made raffle baskets that will be set up for all to view.
The day-long event is free and offers plenty of free parking. Proceeds from the event will help local organizations, as well as charities supported by the Ladies of West Citrus Elks.
