Citrus County Parks and Recreation will present a Halloween season Drive In Movie in the Park on Friday, Oct. 30, 2020.

On the big screen will be “Hocus Pocus,” at the soccer field parking lot of the Homosassa Area Recreation Park.

Everyone of all ages can dress up and participate in the socially distanced costume parade before the movie, starting at 6:15 p.m. Ages 0 to 99 will be judged in six different age categories. Trophies will be awarded.

All interested parties will have to register their vehicle at apm.activecommunities.com/citruscountyparks. Please have only one person per vehicle register. There are 50 spaces available with social distancing per CDC guidelines.

If this event reaches capacity, a waiting list will be generated. If you are among the first 50 to register, please arrive before 6 p.m. to insure your reserved spot is available. After 6 p.m., the spaces will be awarded to the waiting list.

You may bring your own snacks and beverages, and staff will be handing out prepackaged snacks, soda and water.

The movie starts at sunset, approximately 7 p.m., and will end around 8:45 p.m.

For more information, call the Parks and Recreation administration office at 352-527-7540.
