Debbie Selsavage, president of Coping with Dementia LLC, reports that more than 600 individuals have signed up to attend the seventh annual Coping with Dementia Family Care Partner Conference that will begin

Feb. 9 and run through Feb. 12.

Sixteen hours of educational sessions will include presentations by more than two dozen experts in various aspects of dementia, and feature Positive Approach to Care founder Teepa Snow as keynote speaker.

Since 2014, the Citrus County-

based Coping with Dementia has organized an annual conference for family care partners, but this year’s will be the first virtual event broadcast internationally through Zoom and live on Facebook.

“We have been forced to a virtual presentation by COVID, but in terms of geographical reach and audience size, it has opened the conference up to exciting new opportunities,” Selsavage said.

With funding by Citrus nonprofit Dementia Education Inc. and other sponsors, the conference is free and open to the public.
