Witches take over King’s Bay

The 2019 Witches Parade was held Saturday on King’s Bay in Crystal River. Organized by Laura Lou Fitzpatrick of Heritage Village, the parade started at King’s Bay Park, circled around King’s Bay and then went down to Hunter Springs. Sixteen different witches of all ages took to kayaks and paddle boards for the inaugural event. Pictured on the paddle board is Amy Meek, the wife of Mayor Joe Meek. Council member Pat Fitzpatrick drove the security boat behind the contingent of witches. Residents and boaters cheered the witches on.
